this hot bollywood actor made headlines this weekend as cameras followed his activities like the time paris hilton went to jail.... shiney ahuja allegedly raped his 18 year old housemaid this weekend in the middle of the day while his wife was out. Gagging her and threatening to kill her, it's amazing she was able to come to the police within just a matter of hours...and shiney arrested just a few hours after that... shiney confessed to the crime, the medical tests came back confirming rape...shiney's only really been in the bollywood scene for a couple of years, but his work in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi and Life...in a Metro gained him a lot of recognition...
it's interesting to see how india's become a bit more no-nonsense about rape these days. while i was in bombay a few months ago, an american girl of indian origin studying at the tata institute was raped by 6 "friends" who drugged her, raped her and forced her to consume the i-pill. all six of the guys were arrested.
Pathetic that men's (not all men, but a large majority) frailties cause them to screw up so very bad....no pun intended.

and I had a mini Shiney crush after Life in a Metro. How horrid!
India does seem to be taking crimes committed by high profile people more seriously these days and not just sweeping it under the rug.
