what is sacred?

institutions house false appearances
safety nets under confident trapeze artists
only reassure the audience
the same fibers
tangle up fish on docked boats
the knotted ropes cut against fresh skin
a thousand men in front
and a thousand more behind
make sense of systematic boxes
with cut out paper labels
made from scattered oakwood trees
drawing lines of "beauty"
not knowing what's destroyed.
for your sake i will bleed
smiling all the while.
but never will i name
this mendacity sacred.

by me :P

I am soooo bad with figuring out poems and their meanings. I need the cliff notes. Poems for dummy accountants. Your poem sounds good, just not sure what it is exactly saying. Trust me I usually google for meanings of poems.
